About Chichester Rangers

Chichester Rangers was formed in April 2025 by Pete Riding, Craig Walder, and Laura Walder. While the club itself is young, the people within it are far from new to grassroots football. Bringing years of shared, hands-on experience through coaching and working together at other local clubs, we made the decision to form Chichester Rangers and bring our vision to life.

We wanted to build a modern, forward-thinking grassroots club that moves with the times and puts a fresh spin on youth football. Originally starting out at Shopwyke Lakes, Chichester, we have now moved to Tangmere. We’re all about creating a fun, positive, welcoming, and development-focused setup where both boys and girls can genuinely love playing the game. We’re not just focused on football either – we build strength, fitness, resilience and teamwork skills that help young people be stronger off the pitch as well.

Community spirit and a modern approach to coaching are at the heart of everything we do. We’ve had an amazing journey so far, growing like crazy from day one and even adding extra teams during our very first season. While we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come so quickly, we’re just getting started. Our eyes are firmly on the future, with big plans to keep expanding and creating even more fantastic opportunities for young players in our community.

None of this incredible success would have been possible without the amazing team around us. We owe a massive thank you to our brilliant volunteer coaches who give up their time to inspire and guide our players every single week. And of course, a huge shout-out to the parents for their endless support, sideline cheers, and commitment to the club.

But most importantly, it’s all down to the children themselves. Their energy, hard work, and commitment are the real driving force behind Chichester Rangers, and without them we wouldn’t have a club.
